Community Connectors Training:

Members of the Parish Council have agreed to under take training to better equip them to be able to deal with parishioners' enquiries with regards to local services and support available.

This will take place at 7pm on Tuesday 13th November in the Village Hall.

If you would be interested in attending this training, please contact the Parish Clerk.

‘Community Connectors' are members of the community who:

· signpost the public, including friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to the support in their own communities as well as HCM phone line, website, Health Connectors or Talking Cafés

· do not refer to group/services or take people's telephone numbers but enable a far greater number of individuals to access health support and advice

· are aware of the wider determinants of health and are also able to signpost to support such as housing, education and debt advice

· can be very effective at integrating with local communities and providing a bridge between local people and other services.
